The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research

The Robert Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins enables leading scientists to collaborate and secure funding so that they can share ideas, rapidly make new discoveries, develop new treatments, and ultimately find a cure for the disease, which is also known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”. Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, and led by ALS experts and a scientific advisory board, the Packard Center funds focused and collaborative work in labs and medical centers around the world. The Packard Center believes that the greatest strides toward treatment and a cure come from this path-breaking, focused, collaborative approach involving pioneering investigators from multiple institutions. Our ultimate goal is to save lives, and our motto is: “The hope is in the science.”
